If you love smoked salmon like we do, this price reduction can satisfy your thrifty side and will be a timely match for important dates like the Super bowl, Valentine’s Day and Passover. Consider bagel halves with this spread when the lunch hour gets cut short, or when the beer needs something besides chips on Super bowl Sunday. Hot pretzels also work real well for this combination especially with dill pickles.
Smoked Salmon Spread
Added August 25, 2005 | Recipe #134946
12 ounces smoked salmon
2 (8 ounce) packages Neufchatel cheese
3 tablespoons lemon juice
3 tablespoons milk
1 1/2 teaspoons dill weed
1/4 cup green onion
Directions:
-Beat cream cheese, lemon juice, milk and dill weed till well combined.
-Crumble or shred salmon and add to cheese mix.
-Mix until blended and desired consistency. More mixing breaks up salmon more- less keeps it chunkier.
-Chop green onions and garnish the top of spread with them or mix inches.
-Serve well chilled with crackers, toast points or sliced/cubed bread.
